 Chocolate Mud Balls

These treats look great on a dessert tray!

A sweet treat to bring to a potluck!

Makes 12-15 Portions

Quick & Easy!


1/2 cup dairy-free milk (I used unsweetened coconut milk)

1/2 cup vegan butter or margarine

2 cups white sugar

2 1/2 cups gluten-free oats

1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut 

1/4 cup dairy-free unsweetened cocoa powder 


1) Bring dairy-free milk, butter, and sugar to a boil, on medium heat. Reduce heat and continue to stir often until sugar has fully dissolved. 

2) Remove from heat and stir in oats, coconut and cocoa. Quickly pour onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.  Place 12-15 mud balls on the tray. (It is important to be quick so the oats don't start to soften.)


3) Place in the fridge until they are firm.

Store in fridge or freezer in a sealed container.
